Rheumatoid Arthritis Fashionista

What is rheumatoid arthritis (RA)?

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that causes chronic inflammation of the joints.

I want to seriously forgive myself for not posting any outfits lately. I have been struggling hard with my condition RA which sometimes doesn’t motivate me to be all of a fashonista :( Sometimes it’s so hard on me, my mood, the way I feel and the way I dress. I had mentioned before in an older post about this, but here is an update. I been in this process of pain for 3 years now, have been 8 months without any medication; I am trying to heel myself the natural way, with very strict diets. Sometimes I do well sometimes I cheat on my diet and do terrible. It’s a bit hard to keep up with my emotional roller coaster. If any of you girls are going throw a hard health problem I really could understand you. And if you ever decide to get better the natural way just ask me, I have really seen an improvement and I can now say I really believe that nature can heel us. My weight as also changed a lot so most of my clothes are bigger on me, another reason I post less pictures, I have my Canon now so I just need a little of motivation and find pieces of clothing that still fit. I just hope that one day I will be back to my normal self. Thank’s for your support always, your comments and advice always bring a smile to my face and brighten up my days.

If you have any questions please leave them in a comment or stop by my facebook.

Love Taryn, xoxo

  2. Good luck dear, my grandmother and father both suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, so I know the impact it can have on your life. Keep pushing my dear. The only thing I know that helps them besides prescriptions is glucosamine supplements, so if you haven't already, you might want to ask your doctor about that. I hope that you get the motivation you need to start posting again.

  3. Thanks for sharing your story! I have a chronic illness myself (Crohn's disease) and know firsthand how debilitating it can be. Be proud of the courage you have in facing it and not letting it get in the way of your dreams. I hope your health continues to improve and that you can get back to doing what you love - fashion. :)

  4. So sorry to hear of your chronic health problems but glad you posted this. I too have a chronic illness I suffer from adhesions which are fiberous bands of cement like scar tissue which adhere to your abdominal organs and make them grow together and on to the abdominal wall. It also causes a secondary condition do to the lack of motility that is similar to Chrons or IBS. And your right, it takes a MAJOR toll on not only your health but your emotional state as well. And it is amazing at how un-understanding so many people can be. My own sister thinks I have health problems b/c I am a "negative thinker" she is one of those people that takes "The Secret" literally...um ok. Haha my sister doesn't like to deal with reality. Health problems and family problems on my!

I am glad to hear you are finding things that help. I know it is not easy.

  7. So sorry to hear about all your suffering with RA. I have a bone condition which is very similar to arthritis and it's also caused osteoarthritis in my knee and hands which can bring me so much pain - I completely understand how you feel. Always remember to not let the illness defeat you and keep blogging :)
